With the small house finally complete, we had secured a permanent home, allowing us to shift our full attention toward transforming the main house. This wasn’t just renovation—it was reinvention, reshaping the space into a seamless, welcoming retreat built for experiences.
We carefully evaluated every corner, deciding what needed to change:
The old office became Bedroom Number 5, turning an underused space into a cozy, functional retreat.
A new bathroom was created, knocking down a back wall to improve accessibility and convenience.
The lush plants surrounding the pool were removed, reducing maintenance and chemical use while simplifying upkeep.
Every tile, every beam, every drop of sweat carries intention were built for comfort. For guests who return from the pool or the patio and want a quiet, private space to refresh.
Because hospitality isn’t about luxury.
It’s about thoughtfulness made visible.
An outdoor toilet with outdoor shower on top were built, offering guests a private space to freshen up after swimming or relaxing on the patio.
The front fish pond required continuous attention to remain pristine. We reimagined the space into a peaceful Zen Garden for low-maintenance, replacing the pond with carefully crafted gravel patterns—an artistic touch that makes every check-in feel special.
To breathe new life into the house, we repainted every room in Jotun’s Antique White,
a shade that balances warmth and brightness, creating an inviting yet timeless elegance.
Some rooms required new tiles, enhancing both durability and aesthetic appeal to align with the refreshed interiors.
But the true highlight of the transformation remained the patio and second-floor swimming pool—a feature that elevates the entire experience, making this home truly stand out.
The Patio & Pool: A Signature Experience
The patio was designed as a social hub, a space where guests could relax, share moments, and enjoy the surroundings:
- Soft ambient lighting wraps around the patio, creating an inviting glow from dusk to nightfall.
- Well-placed seating enhances comfort, offering both intimacy and space for gatherings.
- An outdoor toilet nearby enhances convenience, allowing guests to remain immersed in their experience.
- The second-floor swimming pool transforms the home into a retreat, offering a rare and elevated luxury: A rooftop-style ambiance, blending openness with privacy for ultimate relaxation.
- Strategic lighting, ensuring an inviting atmosphere for evening swims.
- An outdoor shower positioned above the new toilet, streamlining efficiency while maintaining a sleek design.
Every aspect was thoughtfully curated to enhance both aesthetics and functionality:
- Soft pathway lighting, ensuring accessibility and warmth throughout the space.
- A wooden staircase leading to the second-floor living room, adding depth and character.
- All bulbs replaced with warm white, enriching the cozy feel, while cool white lighting in the kitchen ensures clarity and visibility.
After months of planning, designing, and refining, the house was finally ready—no longer just a private home, but a welcoming retreat built for relaxation, gatherings, and unforgettable experiences.
